Fix Your Focus

As for me, I shall see Your face in righteousness; I will be [fully] satisfied when I awake [to find myself] seeing Your likeness.
Psalm 17:15

No matter where we find ourselves in life–whether in the “have” life or the “have-not” life–we have this assurance that our soul satisfaction is only found in Jesus. Just as David looked around and saw the wicked seemingly prospering and reminded himself of what true satisfaction looks like, so we can. If we find ourselves in despair or despondency, we need to see where our focus has been and currently is. As we set our eyes on Jesus, He refreshes and renews our soul and strengthens us to continually walk confidently through every stage of life. Only in looking to His face will we be “fully satisfied”!

What I’m Listening To…

This Week’s New Song: Breath of Life by Lovkn

1. Your freedom comes like a roaring wind,
waking me to life again and again.

2. The joy it brings binds the fear in me,
Makes me dance and sing, breaks my silence.

Pre-Chorus: Jesus, I love the way You breathe (2x)

Chorus: O-o-o-over me Mighty God;
You are the foundation I stand upon;
The reason I’m alive to sing this song.
Ooo, I’m so thankful, forever thankful,
For the breath of life You breathe.

3. Your fearlessness give me confidence
In the face of the unknown. It’s the peace in my soul.

4. Your uncontainable love is unchangeable,
Fully capable of doing the impossible.

This Week’s Hymn: Take The World, But Give Me Jesus by Fanny Jane Crosby

1. Take the world, but give me Jesus, All its joys are but a name;
But His love abideth ever, through eternal years the same.

2. Take the world, but give me Jesus, Sweetest comfort of my soul;
With my Savior watching o’er me, I can sing though billows roll.

3. Take the world, but give me Jesus, Let me view His constant smile;
Then throughout my pilgrim journey light will cheer me all the while.

4. Take the world, but give me Jesus; In His cross my trust shall be,
Till, with clearer, brighter vision, face to face my Lord I see.

Refrain: Oh, the height and depth of mercy! Oh, the length and breadth of love!
Oh, the fullness of redemption, pledge of endless life above!
