Defeating the Killer Vines
The word "worry" comes from an old Anglo-Saxon word meaning "to choke". This is an appropriate definition as worry tends to strangle and suffocate us. In this message, Pastor Chris takes inspiration from his weeping cherry tree and Philippians 4:4 - 8 to remind us that if we do not allow Holy Spirit to prune us and clear out the strangling vines of worry in our life, we will be stifled, suffocated and eventually have a fruitless life.

Apr 4, 2021Christ is Risen: So What?
The passion of the earliest believers who carried the Good News to their world did not come from frightened followers who seemingly knew of a skeleton. The resurrection of Jesus is an historic fact that even non-biblical historians never denied. Christ is risen! So what does that mean for us today? In this powerful Easter message, Pastor Chris lays out three points of application from Romans 6:1 - 4 and shows us how our lives can be empowered when applied.

Mar 21, 2021The Water of God’s SpiritSeries: Let the Church Be the ChurchIntegral to the soul of man is an insatiable thirst that is only satisfied by the water of Holy Spirit. In Scripture, water is one of the great symbols of the work of Spirit in our lives. When that water of life is working in us and flowing through us, people will pick up on that and sense it and long for it. In this message, Pastor Chris preaches from John 7:37 - 39, exhorting us to go deeper in the river that is flowing from the throne of grace.

Mar 14, 2021Seven Guarantees for the Days to ComeIn our current age, we have abundant access to technology that supposedly makes our life better. Yet there is such a "paralysis of analysis", that many people do not know what to believe. They are running hither and yon more than ever before and are lacking a foundation. In this message, Pastor Chris references Daniel 12:1 - 4 and gives us seven guarantees that we can sink our teeth into in this ever changing world.
- Mar 7, 2021Redeemed by the Blood
Mar 7, 2021Redeemed by the BloodDuring this service, Pastor Chris reminds us that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins (Hebrews 9:22). And because Jesus laid down His life at the cross, He alone can wash away our sins. He alone can do in us what has to be done, that we cannot do for us and ours. He came to redeem us from our fallen nature, to reconcile us to God. And, as Scripture proclaims, "...God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

- Feb 21, 2021Fear No Evil

Feb 7, 2021When Fire ComesSeries: Let the Church Be the Church"The human spirit fails unless the Holy Spirit fills." -Dr. E. Stanley Jones. Our Spirit-filled progenitors were men and women with a fire for the things of God. If we hope to make a difference spiritually in other's lives, we are going to have to be a people of the Spirit and a people of fire. In this message, Pastor Chris, referencing Luke 3:15 - 18 and Luke 12:49 - 53, exhorts us that our greatest need is not for new facilities or fancier programs or greater techniques, but rather, a coal off the Heavenly altar to cleanse our lips and ignite our lives. Prior to the message, we hear the Word of the Lord that came forth during this service.
- Jan 24, 2021When Revival Comes
Jan 24, 2021When Revival ComesSeries: Let the Church Be the ChurchRevival means "to come back to life," "a spiritual awakening," "a returning to God." One of the greatest misconceptions of revival is that it is only needed by those who have fallen away from God. On the contrary, every believer needs seasons of renewal, of fresh visitations from God. Without these, we will struggle or possibly not even be able to accomplish what God has for us to do. Referencing Revelation 2:1 - 7, Pastor Chris highlights three marks of true revival.
