Homes Under Attack
"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance." -Thomas Jefferson We are engaged in a great spiritual fight in our homes and families. To combat this, we must steadfastly stand to maintain the Biblical standard of ethics that the enemy is systematically destroying. We have to stand against his agenda and determine to protect our families. In this message, Pastor Chris enumerates three points from Ephesians 6:10 - 18 that lay out our strategies for standing. He emphasizes the critical need for us to hold the line, for the sake of our loved ones souls.

    Get Out of the Gray
God tells us what is coming, not so we will worry and fret about the future, but so we will put our trust in Him and not lose our peace as we see things come to pass. We see one such alert in 2 Timothy 3:1 - 5. As Pastor Anthony points out, the Church needs to not assume this is talking about the world. We need to examine ourselves to see if we have made areas gray that God has made black and white. We need to come back to God's Word. Period.

    The Spirit Makes the Difference
There is no way to talk about the successful Christian life without also referencing the Person and work of Holy Spirit. Our spiritual growth and maturity are directly proportional to our submission to Holy Spirit's work in our life. In this continuation of Pentecost Sunday's message, Pastor Chris elaborates on the work and ministry of Holy Spirit and gleans from Acts 2:38 & 39 that the gift of Holy Spirit is intended for every believer and is our source of power.

    Welcome Holy Spirit
In the Genesis creation, we see God the Father (God for us). In the incarnation, we see God the Son (God with us). And in the infilling, we see God the Spirit (God in us.)--the Godhead, three-in-one. In this Pentecost Sunday message, Pastor Chris highlights three aspects of God the Spirit's ministry that Jesus stresses to us from John 16:7 - 14. Pastor Chris encourages us that we are to be containers, moreover conduits, of God, through Holy Spirit.

    His Blood Still Speaks
Memorial Day is the day on our calendar set aside to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. As we celebrate, we must remember the ultimate One Who gave His ultimate life for the ultimate price for our ultimate freedom. In this message, Pastor Chris reminds us of why it was necessary for Jesus to shed His blood and, from Hebrews 12:18 - 24, gives us three points of His blood's efficacy.

    Speaking In Tongues?
Interestingly, to show the evidence of Holy Spirit's infilling, God chose to use the tongue--a member of the body that is described in James 3:5 as capable of defiling the whole body. Although, in and of ourselves, we are unable to control the tongue, God uses it as this evidence to show our dependence on Him to reign in its capabilities. In this message, Pastor Chris lays out three points from James 3:1 - 12 that will guide us in our journey to control the tongue and use it for good rather than evil.

Having a Positive Family In a Negative World
Parenthood is the greatest ministry in the world. In a culture that is increasingly diminishing parenthood's value, how can we grow strong, healthy families? Pastor Chris answers that question in this Mother's Day message, centered on 1 Thessalonians 1:3. He also emphasizes the critical role that mothers have in rearing a strong, healthy family.

    Working Out
We really only have control over two things in our life--our attitude and our effort. Although we are saved by grace, true salvation is evidenced in our works. In this message, Pastor Chris continues the journey through James with James 2:14 - 26 and discusses how the ideas of "saved by grace" and "faith without works is dead" are not contradictory, but rather, complimentary.

    Beating Bias
Discrimination can have all sorts of faces. But, in the Kingdom of God, we all stand on the same foundation and the Gospel is a "whosoever" Gospel. In this message, Pastor Chris continues teaching through the book James and come to James 2:1 - 13. He exhorts us to be diligent in our witness by remembering that how we treat others really determines our level of maturity as Believers.

    Nailing It To the Cross
The greatest mystery of all is the mystery of the cross. Why was it necessary? Was it a back-up plan for man's failure in the garden? In this message, Pastor Chris answers those questions and opens up Colossians 2:13 - 15, showing the great transaction that took place at the cross--our transgressions transferred to Jesus, and His grace transferred to us. Because of this, we can live without condemnation, knowing that we are reconciled to God through the blood of Jesus Christ.
